LUCKY JR the Dog needs a home
Father/ Son combo!! Possibly a first for the Animal Service''s adoption program. Lucky Jr and Lucky Sr (AKA Thing 1 and Thing 2) are a father and son and are hoping to win over the hearts of a family who will adopt them together. Lucky Jr (the smooth coat) and Sr (the wire coat) came into the shelter just over a month ago through no fault of their own, but they are just about the happiest dogs you will meet. Despite coming into the shelter (which can be a very stressful/scary experience), both these little dogs have remained happy, playful and friendly with everyone they meet! Their tails are always wagging, their tongues are always hanging out, and they bring a smile to the faces of every person they meet. They are always ready for a new adventure!
Lucky Jr and Sr are extremely attached to each other; they do just about everything together. Neither of the pair likes to be without the other one (even for a minute). Fortunately, these dogs are the perfect size, weighing in at about only 25 lbs each, and they can be walked together. Despite their small size, they are bundles of energy and are going to need an active owner to keep up with them.
Lucky Jr and Sr are both housebroken and have their basic obedience training. The only bad habit these dogs have is that they like to use their voices (both inside and out). They bark when excited to see people, they bark when they see other dogs, they bark if they see a squirrel.... Due to their tendencies to bark, they are unlikely to fit in well in an apartment/condo setting.
Lucky Jr and Sr are very anxiously awaiting their new home at Toronto Animal Service East at 821 Progress Ave. These 2 dogs are a blast and the sweetest boys around!
